Scotia is a trans screenwriter from Kentucky. She has taught English in South Korea, been electrocuted in a Mayan pyramid, and ordered off the three-złoty menu at a McDonald’s in Poland. She now lives in Los Angeles without a car.
Her characters include a night-shift mortuary technician, a kitchen manager whose crew is dead, and a cat who is mayor. They all have jobs to do.

A kitchen manager sent to automate a delivery-only kitchen finds the overnight crew still working the line, years after they died there. They keep cooking so their families keep getting paid. Finishing her job ends that.
