Scotia Leslie

Scotia is a trans screenwriter from Kentucky. She has taught English in South Korea, been electrocuted in a Mayan pyramid, and ordered off the three-złoty menu at a McDonald’s in Poland. She now lives in Los Angeles without a car.

Her characters include a night-shift mortuary technician, a kitchen manager whose crew is dead, and a cat who is mayor. They all have jobs to do.

Feature. Comedy.

A woman inherits her late uncle’s seat in a Baltimore oyster shuckers’ lodge, founded in 1889 and down to its last few members. To sell the building, the Order needs a quorum of twenty-five. She has to recruit twenty strangers so it can vote itself out of existence.
